What is Sarla Devi Scholarship ?
Sarla Devi Scholarship is an initiative by the Dharampal Satyapal Charitable Trust to support the education of meritorious students belonging to financially underprivileged families. The aim of this merit cum means scholarship is to allow students a chance for a better future. The scholarship program is for the students pursuing Science, Arts, Commerce and Vocational studies.
What is Eligibility Criteria ?
Students pursuing Science, Arts, Commerce and Vocational courses can apply for this scholarship. However, the eligibility criteria for each varies in the following manner:
Eligibility for Science courses
- Students must be pursuing MBBS, Engineering or Nursing from reputed colleges
- They must have an annual family income not exceeding INR 4.5 lakhs
- They must have secured a minimum of 75% marks in Class 12
- They must have opted for Science stream (PCB/PCM/PCMB) in Class 12
- Students enrolled in any of the following colleges/institutes are eligible:

- Students must be pursuing a degree in LLB, Psychology or Mass communication
- They must have an annual family income not exceeding INR 4.5 lakhs
- They must have secured a minimum of 75% marks in Class 12
- They must be from either Arts, Science or Commerce stream

Eligibility for Commerce courses
- Students must be aspiring to pursue CA/CS
- They must have an annual family income not exceeding INR 4.5 lakhs
- They must have secured a minimum of 80% marks in Class 12
- They must be from either Arts, Science or Commerce stream
- Students enrolled in any of the following colleges/institutes are eligible:
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (CA)
- Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) (CS)
Eligibility for Vocational courses
- Students must be drop-out students willing to pursue vocational courses for employability (Mechanics, Electricians, Plumbers, Masons, Carpenters, Gardeners and Tailors)
- They must have an annual family income not exceeding INR 4.5 lakhs
- Students enrolled in any of the following colleges/institutes are eligible:
- Delhi Institute of Vocational Training Center (Interior decorator)
- Sriram Institute of Professional and Vocational Studies (Fashion Designing)
- National Council of Vocational and Research Training (3 months program)
- Lal Bahadur Shastri Training Institute
- National Vocational Training Institute for Women

What are benefits ?
Students selected for the scholarship will receive the following benefits:
- 14 scholars from the Science courses will receive a scholarship of INR 75,000 or tuition fee (whichever is less)
- 50 scholars from the Arts courses will receive a scholarship of INR 20,000 or tuition fee (whichever is less)
- 40 scholars from the Commerce courses will receive a scholarship of INR 25,000 or tuition fee (whichever is less)
- 65 scholars from the Vocational courses will receive a scholarship of INR 15,000 or tuition fee (whichever is less)

Eligible candidates can apply for the program through the following steps:

Step 3: Once signed in, click on Start Application to start filling the form.
Step 4: Fill in all the details and upload the required documents.
Step 5: Finally, click on Submit.
