What is Times of India Scholarship ?

The Times of India invites applications for Times Scholars Programme 2019 from class 10 to 12 students. The aim of this program is to develop reading habits among the students and prepare them to understand society, environment, and worldview. The program is available for students at two levels namely, Level 1 (class 10 and 11 students) and Level 2 (class 12 students). The best-performing 100 students in each level will receive a Dell laptop each and other benefits.

What are benefits ?

  • For classes X and XI (Level 1) - The top 100 students are to be awarded a Dell laptop each.
  • For class XII (Level 2) – The top 100 students to be awarded a Dell laptop each. These students will also be eligible for admission in the undergraduate courses at Bennett University with a scholarship applicable for 1 year. The students will need to fulfill the eligibility criteria of the University.

 


How to Apply?

  • Log in to the official website of the department “www.timesscholars.com”.
  • Then read all the information about the scholarship.
  • Then find the registration link.
  • Upload all required documents, photos, and signatures.
  • Check the whole information and then submit it.
  • Finally, take a printout for future use.
  • Take the printout as a hard copy.

What are documents required ?

  • Guardians Income Certificate.
  • Caste certificate.
  • Identity proof.
  • Address proof.
  • Class 10th Mark sheet.
  • The photo should also be attested.
  • Attach the photocopy of your bank passbook & Aadhaar card.

 


What are Terms & Conditions ?

  • For each of the two levels, 100 winners will be selected.
  • There is no registration fee for this program.
  • All phase participation is mandatory to be considered for the scholarship.
  • The participants are required to read the articles published in the Times of India print version labeled under TIMES SCHOLARS during the reading phase and attempt the practice tests.
  • The articles will be based on a variety of fields like current affairs, sports, science & technology, politics, education, social issues, global developments, etc. 
  • During the program, the participants are also required to prepare two PowerPoint presentations depicting the summary of articles published.
