What is S.D. Ahuja Foundation Art Scholarship ?

S. D. Ahuja Foundation supports deserving students, who are pursuing a career in Art, by providing scholarship.


What is Eligibility Criteria ?

The scholarship is for final year students pursuing their Bachelor degree from a recognized Fine Arts College of India and for one year only.

What are benefits ?

The scholarship students will receive a Certificate and Rs.15000/-  

Thereafter every month the scholarship candidate will have to send 1 new painting done in the past two months by e-mail to trust@dpahuja.com .

After sending all 11 submissions, in the next 11 months, the candidate will receive a lump-sum of Rs.10,000/-

 


How to Apply?

Step 1: Visit link http://www.sdahujaart.com/PDFs/Art%20Scholarship%20Application%20Form%2017-18.pdf to apply for this scholarship.

Step 2: Submit along with painting. Following are the procedure for sending the painting:

Students shall have to submit photographs (in JPEG or PNG file format) of the original paintings on CD/pen drive, properly labelled with full name, address, contact number(s), college name), to the Foundation for primary selection.

The packet should be sent by courier, to :-

S.D.Ahuja Foundation, D. P. Ahuja & Co., 29 Broad Street, Kolkata – 700019.

West Bengal Students will have to submit scanned copies of at least 4 paintings, on a properly labelled CD, to the foundation for the primary selection process.

The CD should be sent by courier to – D. P Ahuja & Co., 29 Broad Street. Kolkata 700 019, West Bengal.

The Selected students will have to send all the 4 original paintings, which can be mounted but may not be framed, along with the application form duly filled in.

Step 3: Sign and submit with the prints of paintings to S.D. Ahuja Foundation, 29 Broad Street Kolkata 700 019.

What are documents required ?

One passport size photograph.

Photocopy of address proof- Ration Card/ Voter ID /Certificate from the Councillor /letter from the school principal , any such one.

Photocopy of School/College Identity Card/Admit Card- (of Fine Arts College).

If dependant, Income proof of father.

Xerox/Photocopy of certificates of Achievements.

 


What are Terms & Conditions ?

Selection will be done on the basis of the paintings submitted.

Each application must be accompanied by recommendation from the college Dean/Principal on college letter head.

The submitted paintings have to be original and not older than 6 months, i.e. done in the final year only.

Paintings should not be smaller than 18″ x 18″ or larger than 36″ x 48″, and should not weigh more than 8 kg.

The paintings can be in oil, acrylic, pastel, charcoal, mixed media, pen and ink, or water colour on canvas, board or paper.

Only two dimensional work and not sculptures or other installations will be accepted.
