What is Oil Awards Oil Merit Scholarship ?
Oil Awards and Oil Merit Scholarship 2020 is granted by OIL India Limited that is a part of cooperate social responsibility. It is the second-largest hydrocarbon exploration and production of Indian Public Sector Company. The scholarship invites all the applicants from Class 10th and 12th. The purpose of a scholarship is to provide education and to inspire the young generation to achieve their dreams.
What is Eligibility Criteria ?
- Children of Non-OIL Employees: Passing Class 10 or 12 from schools/colleges located in Oil operational areas of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Charaideo Districts and Changlang district.
- Children of Oil Employees: Passing Class 10 or 12 from any schools/colleges across India.
For Oil award the candidate must be any of the following:
- State rank holder
- Securing above 95% marks
For Oil Merit Scholarship the candidate must be any of the following:
- Non-OIL Employee Children:
- HSLC- Rural: Reserve category: 70%, unreserved: 75%
- HSLC Urban: Reserve category: 80%, unreserved: 85%
- AISSE: Reserve category: 80%, unreserved: 85%
- ICSE: Reserve category: 80%, unreserved: 85%
- HSSLC / AISSCE / ISCE: Reserve category: 80%, unreserved: 85%
- OIL Employee Children:
- Class 10: Reserve category: 80%, unreserved: 85%
- Class 12: Reserve category: 80%, unreserved: 85%

Interested candidate can apply online by following the below-mentioned steps:

Step 5: A form will be open
Step 6: Write the personal details, parent's details, details for oil employees children, school/colleges details, bank details and address for communication
Step 7: Upload the required documents
Step 8: Click on submit

What are documents required ?
- Scan copy of self attested passport size photograph
- Scan copy of self attested mark sheet
- Scan copy of pass certificate issued by school /college authority
- Scan copy of board notification declaring ranks (for state rank holders)
- Scan copy of caste certificate attested by gazetted officer
- Scan copy of bank passbook (1st page ) / cancelled cheque
- Scan copy BPL card issued by govt ( for BPL candidates)
- Scan copy of certificate from medical authority (for PWD students)
