What is Merit Based Scholarships for Air Force Personnel ?

Merit-Based Scholarships for Air Force personnel 2020, are for children of AF Personnel and scholarship will be provided on yearly basis. This scholarship is mainly for AF Personnel (Retired, deceased & Serving) children. 


What is Eligibility Criteria ?

  • This scheme is applicable for students of class 6th to postgraduate level.
  • A candidate must be a regular student in a recognized school/ college/ Institution.
  • An applicant must be the children of air force personnel (Serving, Retired & Deceased).
  • To continue this scholarship, students have to obtain a minimum of 60 % marks (45 % in the case of school-going children of serving NCs(E)).

What are benefits ?

  • Student studying in class 6 to 10 (For serving NCs(E) only) will get INR 2,000.
  • Student studying in class 11 and 12 will get INR 5,000.
  • Student studying under graduation courses will get INR 10,000.
  • Student studying under graduation courses (Professional) will get INR 15,000.
  • Student studying post graduation courses will get INR 20,000.
  • Student studying post graduation courses (Professional) will get INR 30,000.
  • Special Children with Disability Less than 70% will get INR 10,000.

  • Steps to be followed by the students to apply for this scholarship are as follows:
  • Students can apply for this scholarship in offline mode.
  • The scholarship application form can be downloaded through this link https://indianairforce.nic.in/
  • After downloading the form, enter all the required details carefully.
  • Incomplete applications received after due dates will be rejected.
  • The duly completed application forms in all respects must be reached to the below address before due dates:

What are documents required ?

  • Class 10th, 12th and graduation mark sheet (depending upon the course for which a candidate is applying)
  • Copy of student’s bank passbook
  • Copy of PPO in case of retired personnel

What are Terms & Conditions ?

The selection for the award of the scholarship will be purely done on the basis of merit of the qualifying examination.
